Floating Shunter Driver

The role of Floating Shunter Driver is an essential role to ensure the smooth operations of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate LGV and trailers around the site.
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Couple and uncouple trailers as required.
• Complete inspections of vehicles and trailers.
• Safely park trailers in designated areas.
• Manoeuvre both laden and unladen trailers.
• Ensure proper handover procedures are followed.
• Report any vehicle accidents or mechanical defects to the Packing Supervisor.

Essential Competencies/Qualifications:

• The ability to work on own initiative within a time pressure environment.
• Full, clean category B driving license with the desire and ability to complete Category C licence requirements.
• Previous experience in a similar role.

Desirable Competencies/Qualifications:

• Full, clean Category C Drivers Licence or equivalent.
