Finance Team Managers
Finance Team Managers - Finance Operations / Finance Shared Service Project (Assistant Principal Level (AP))
The National Shared Services Office (NSSO) is now hiring Finance Team Managers at Assistant Principal (AP) level.
These roles are positioned in the Finance Shared Services (FSS) function of the NSSO.
About Finance Shared Services:
We launched our latest service offering, Finance Shared Services, to eight Public Service Bodies (PSBs) in 2022. FSS will provide a centralised, standardised accounting and finance service on a single-technology platform to 48 government bodies who are transitioning on a phased basis. The platform will replace 31 different legacy finance systems, eliminating the need to maintain, support and upgrade different systems, reducing costs and improving security.
The Role of Finance Team Manager in FSS:
The Finance Team Manager will be responsible for managing a team focused on either Operations or the Project and:
- Engaging with client PSBs on incremental design for Waves 2 and beyond of FSS, to gather and articulate incremental business-critical requirements. This requires the candidate to understand ERP systems generally and to develop a strong understanding of the existing FSS solution.
- Liaising with the System Build Partner in order to complete design and testing, and to lead on client user acceptance testing.
- Leading change management assessment processes. This requires the candidate to develop an understanding of clients’ financial transaction processes compared to the built FSS solution and to lead and support in the programme of change management.
- Finance Team Managers will work collaboratively to support the effective on-boarding of client PSBs
- This position will be based in the NSSO’s Tullamore or Galway office, depending on the candidate’s own preference. Candidates will attend the office on a blended working basis in line with the NSSO Blended Working Policy. This can be discussed with the Central Accounting Lead (PO).
The closing date to apply for this role is 5:00pm on Monday 13 January 2025
