Finance Business Partner (FTC 12 Months) – GES Controllership

Role Summary

Key member of the GES Controllership team providing Finance business partnership services to senior key Finance and Business stakeholders across GES. Ownership of all or part of the month end close process, the FP&A process and ad hoc financial analysis in support of GES service delivery.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Liaise and partner with both finance and non-finance stakeholders and contacts within business units
  • Manage detailed financial planning models and manage budget and forecast processes end to end. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost control initiatives
  • Group reporting, including month end close process as well as monthly review of actual v. forecast P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Operation of multiple 3rd party managed vendor accounts from a process perspective in conjunction with procurement
  • Business unit accounting, including management of accruals, prepayments Etc. and exercise ownership with regards to the measurement of actual performance versus targets
  • Maintain and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance for sharing with various stakeholders
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary on business unit performance. Work closely with business unit leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Review and sign off of balance sheet reconciliations monthly, through Blackline
  • Manage weekly cash forecast process for Glanbia Business Services Division end to end
  • Participating on ad hoc projects as required
  • Support the preparation of ad-hoc analysis and management reporting to assist in business decisions
  • Support process improvement and optimisation including the development and documentation of business processes

Requirements/Skills and Experience

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 5 years’ + post qualification experience
  • Excellent technical accounting skills
  • Experience of working cross functionally with demonstrated experience of managing expectations of a broad senior stakeholder group critical
  • Strong PC and analytical experience
  • MS Excel, MS PowerPoint experience essential
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP /BW accounting environments beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious / Enthusiastic / Self motivated
