We are independent and open to scrutiny DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Senior Manager - Finance and Governance, day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities General maintenance of finance records including:

  • Accounts Payable: processing invoices, dealing with suppliers and internal customers, and processing payments.
  • Accounts Receivable: processing sales receipts and assist with credit control duties.
  • Provision of Payroll administration support: processing payroll monthly.
  • Maintain the Pension Scheme(s) membership records in a prescribed format, including administrative support to the AVC scheme.
  • Complete bank reconciliations monthly.
  • Assist with internal and external financial audits.
  • Preparation of Quarterly and Annual Returns for publication of the CRU website plus annual tax reports.
  • File management as per the CRU records management policy, including archiving.
  • Cover for other finance team members, as required.
  • Other general administrative duties may be assigned by the Senior Manager – Finance and Governance.

The above list is not exhaustive. While the successful candidate will be assigned to the and Governance Team within the CRU, they will also be expected to support the work of the wider Division/CRU as requirements dictate. The CRU may establish a shortlist of suitable candidates for potential future positions that may arise within the organisation. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Essential Requirements Candidates must have on or before the closing date for applications the following: 1. Minimum of 2 years relevant administrative / finance / payroll experience. 2. Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, computerized accounting systems.

Desirable Requirements If it preferable that candidates have on or before the closing date for applications, the following: 3. Previous knowledge/experience of public sector finance activities. 4. Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. 5. Ability to be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. 6. Accounting Technician (or equivalent) THE PACKAGE Salary *Starting salary of €37,650 Salary scale: €37,650 - €60,607

  • *Candidates should note that entry will be at the minimum point of the scale.
  • The rate of remuneration may be adjusted in line with Government pay policy.
  • Candidates should note that different pay and conditions may apply if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is a serving civil or public servant.
  • Salary increments will be awarded annually, subject to satisfactory performance.
