EUC Workplace Manager

Tirlán, currently partnering with a 3rd party service provider for the provision of IT services, is about to embark on a significant IT transformation programme to stand up its own IT capability. The initial focus will be on enabling projects and will involve close collaboration with our partner. This will require a number of new and exciting roles to join the Tirlán IT team, working in a dynamic & collaborative environment.

Overview
Reporting to the IT Transformation Manager, the EUC (End User Computing) Workplace Manager will lead the end user computing team in overseeing and managing all aspects of the organisation’s end-user technologies and services. This role will be responsible for driving the strategy, engineering, and operations for various technologies, including Microsoft Windows Endpoints, the Microsoft 365 productivity suite, Unified Communications, , Messaging and Collaboration, Remote Desktop Technologies, and End User Device Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the operating plan and associated budget for the end user computing and Microsoft 365 environment
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of desktop, laptop and other endpoint technologies in a distributed environment
- Work with Managed Service Providers to ensure that software distribution, patch management and other service issues are resolved in line with service level agreements
- Work closely with the Managed Service Provider to manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
- Oversee the management and performance of the company's unified communications and collaboration services ensuring availability, reliability, and security of the service
- Ensure all incidents and service requests relating to end user computing, messaging and communication services are resolved in line with service level agreements
- Participate in projects where end user computing and the Microsoft 365 Platform are key enablers
- Implement new features and updates in the Microsoft 365 environment
- Ensure the security and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment
- Collaborate with the Business and other IT stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Create and maintain documentation for Microsoft 365 configurations and procedures
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for Microsoft 365 usage
- Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions in Microsoft 365
- Ensure data backup and recovery processes are in place for Microsoft 365 services
- Advise on optimisation and management of existing license estate
- Educate stakeholders and promote license best practice
- Maintain the Software Asset Management tool to ensure information therein is up-to-date and relevant
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10 years’ experience working with all aspects of End User Computing services, with 5+ years’ experience in 3rd party supplier management and service level management
- 3+ years’ experience in leading, motivating and developing a high-performing team
- An ITIL Service management certification v3+ or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of EUC Workplace technologies and Microsoft 365 Environment
- Proven process design, improvement, and implementation experience
- Knowledge of security standards and best practices, including ISO 27001 and NIST
- Knowledge of data backup and disaster recovery processes
- Self-starter with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player with a growth mindset
