Engineering Manager

Central Switchgear are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager with a background in Power Distribution and Switchgear. As the Manager withing the design department you will be responsible for leading the team to design and implementing electrical switchgear systems that support the client project requirements. You will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Developing electrical switchgear systems designs ( layouts, schematics and BOM’s) per projects requirements, including sub distribution systems.
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics for switchgear as well as general arrangement layout drawings. ( utilizing SEE Electrical , AutoCAD, 3D Platforms )
• Prepare electrical bills of materials.
• Prepare draft single line drawings for tendering purposes.
• Proactively interact with customers / consultants and other staff to resolve identified issues via phone, in person and via email.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Have to confidence to communicate with clients, and stakeholders to resolve any technical issues.
• Be degree qualified in electrical engineering or similar (not essential – those from a technical background who fit the profile will also be considered)
• Experience with SEE electrical or similar electrical design software., Experience with 2D and/or 3D software and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Be open to new design technology to improve the design process.
