About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Administrator to join the team at our Newmarket Cheese Production facility.

Onsite Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.00 (with an hour for lunch)

What will I be doing?

  • Liaising daily with the Maintenance Planner and Engineering Manager
  • Responsible for printing weekly work orders to be completed by maintenance staff and contractors. Imputing into the system once completed and attaching relevant reports etc.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures for Engineering department
  • Updating month end spreadsheets specific to the engineering dept. and liaising with Accounts on their completion. Recording electricity, diesel, water usage etc. 
  • Tracking maintenance spending.
  • Ordering Chemicals – issuing PO’s for the same. Submitting PO’s for approval on the delivery of stocks/goods.
  • Booking in contractors for site induction and carrying out site induction with various contractors. – Inductions done online now on Dulann system.
  • Recording inductions as safety engagements on Intelex system and also recording any conversations within Eng. Department before commencing works as safety engagement.
  • Recording site permits and safety engagement hours on the Intelex system.
  • Taking minutes at weekly maintenance meetings.
  • Ensuring contractor paperwork, permits and reports are filed (hard/soft copies and easily accessible.)
  • Assisting in preparation for audits.
  • Trained in SAP and in charge of completing AP Queries as they arise.

What skills, experience and qualifications will I need?

To be successful in this role we are looking for the positive can-do attitude as well as your skills and experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate will ideally have the following:

  • Similar experience in a busy Administration or Support role is essential
  • Experience of working in a food manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong IT skills MS Office are essential. Experience of INTELEX, Dulann and SAP highly desirable, training can be provided 
  • Well organised with strong communication skills
  • Positive can do attitude and the ability / desire to learn new skills where required.
