Electrical Person in Charge of Works Substations
Mainline is growing fast and are currently looking to hire PICW’s to work on exciting multi-disciplinary and framework projects. The role presents a great opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for people who will embrace the opportunity and progress with the business as it grows.
Your new role:
You will be part of an experienced project delivery team working on large-scale power and ESB Framework projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required
- Work closely with the site management on such duties as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance
- Diagnose systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of faults
- Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications
- Oversee the assembly, install, and test, of electrical equipment and components
Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:
- An ESBN PICW Level 2 qualification essential
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organisational skills
- Safepass
- Fluent in spoken and written English (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, CPE or equivalent)
