We have a few requirements that we would like you to meet these include:-
• Education: Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Computer literate
• A logical mind with attention to detail for effective problem solving
• The ability to work as a team member and possess good interpersonal, communication and literacy skills
• Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in being an Electrician
• A desire to learn
• Ability to think fast and thrive under pressure
About the role (listed but not limited to):
You will serve your time as a member of the Carrickmacross Engineering team while actively progressing through the relevant phases of the ETB apprenticeship scheme gaining a recognised qualification.
• Ensure that equipment productivity is maximised & maintenance schedules are met.
• Support the standardisation of all machine settings, engineering work, spare parts, procedures & records in line with the Factory
• Management System and OPEX (lean) manufacturing principles. Support the elimination of adjustment on tooling and replacement parts
• Monitor the effectiveness of and periodically update autonomous maintenance schedules carried out by the operator.
• Maintain all 5S standards set especially with regard to tools, tool boxes, parts use & storage. To contribute to the continuous improvement of 5S standards within the value stream
• Ensure that engineering activity in the value stream conforms to ISO14001 standard. Continually strive to reduce the impact the value stream has on the environment through the reduction of resource (energy, water etc) use and the reduction of waste generation.
• Working in our team to ensure that equipment productivity is maximised & maintenance schedules are met. Optimizing the use of Practical Problem Solving to support a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Electrical Qualifications: Actively progress through the relevant phases of the SOLAS apprenticeship and gain a recognised qualification.
