The Role:

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

• Collect various waste streams from customer locations across the route network, ensuring service quality and market share growth in serviced areas.
• Supervise operatives during waste collection runs (RCV, hook and chain, Curtain-Siders), ensuring safe and professional work practices.
• Empty wheelie bins using proper techniques and adhere to guidelines for bin positioning as per BNM standards.
• Complete daily route sheets, conduct vehicle safety checks, and adhere to company policies for safe and efficient vehicle operation, including fuel efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain allocated company vehicles and property in a safe, clean, and roadworthy condition to maximize safety for drivers, occupants, and other road users, and minimize environmental impact.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy towards colleagues, customers, and the public.
• Cooperate fully with company health, safety, and welfare measures for all employees and the public.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes.

• Experience in Transport/Waste Industry desirable
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience
• Must have a C licence and a CPC card(all up to date).
• Strong understanding and adherence to legislative, company and health & Safety processes/policies whilst driving/in the workplace.
• Manual Handling & Safe Pass an advantage
• Good Written and Verbal English essential.
• Must be flexible to work across different work sections within the business.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
