Position Summary

This role will lead the development and management of the business engagement partnership function for manufacturing, with a focus on manufacturing operations in Europe and Middle East. Partner and collaborate with the respective manufacturing leadership teams, Finance Shared Services, other shared service leaders, and IT service delivery teams to help drive financial goals, customer satisfaction and overall alignment, governance and viability of IT strategy. Align with Stryker and IT strategy, achieve outlined targets, and follow operational procedures and maintain accountability for program, financials and SLAs to the business. Specifically drive the business engagements, strategies and capability development in manufacturing.

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

  • Responsible for team leadership, budget and deliverables of IT programs

  • Responsible for information demand rationalization for the area of responsibility; needs to ensure integrity of business vision and strategy especially when conflicts in priorities occur in geographies from business divisions and geographic, cluster and site alignment

  • Ensures that the business demand and the IT project and service portfolio are aligned with the strategic and operational objectives and is accountable for the value delivery.

  • Acts as a member/liaison of the information systems governance group within the respective business

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive information strategy and IT application roadmap

  • Strategically supports Stryker’s reporting and analytical needs

  • Drive IT initiatives and digital innovations supporting Stryker’s business and operations

  • Be a domain expert and business consultant

  • Lead a team of business partners and business analysts to drive strategic alignment and portfolio results

  • Support core business processes by providing required inputs, information, and tools. Work broadly within the organization

  • Interact with peers to ensure a smooth integration of the processes/unit output with the rest of the IT environment

  • Liaise with other IT stakeholders in project management, architecture, governance to ensure alignment

  • Communicate on projects by issuing regular status updates, and managing communication with key account managers, IT team and business stakeholders

  • Working with IT leaders, conduct market research and observations across all concerned specialist areas when necessary

  • Secure high business and IT acumen by attending any necessary training sessions.

  • Ensure the compliance of global IT services processes

  • Ensure that IT systems and processes operate efficiently and within established KPIs

  • Provide applications team with functional support to secure compliance with SLA and high customer satisfaction

  • Provide service delivery teams with input on business applications needs within the application domain

  • Understand business requirements and finalize functional specifications

  • Perform other duties as directed

Education & special trainings:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required.

Qualifications & experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in business, strategy and IS/IT management, leading strategy, change management and supporting functions

  • Knowledgeable of the current and future technology direction of the industry and aligns strategies with those shifting landscapes

  • Energetic and dynamic leadership style

  • Strong and demonstrated ability to develop partnerships and trust with business leadership to build Group IT strategies and program portfolios

  • Build mechanisms to ensure that architecture and harmonization principles are well socialized and followed in harmonizing portfolios

  • Knowledge of strategy frameworks

  • Experience transforming an organization and working with a “service model” (segregated roles for business analysis, solution or technical architect, coders, project managers, testers, business delivery leads, etc.) including strategic sourcing and vendor management

  • Experience helping a business to transform its business and systems (major project, big picture)

  • Knowledge of regulated application landscape in life sciences and current platforms and technologies preferred

Physical & mental requirements:

  • Demonstrated professional experience in IS/IT shared services is required

  • Ability to understand systems, interrelationships and recommend enhancements, and building IS/IT strategy

  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, analytical, change management and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire large teams during transformation and beyond

  • Executive presence

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and in global matrix organization; building successful relationships with other functions, members of executive leadership team and external customers
