Direct Freight Planner

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Direct Freight Planner, you will:

  • Provide first-class customer service by understanding and meeting client requirements.
  • Plan, arrange, monitor, and manage Direct Land Transport (LTL & FTL), ensuring smooth Door-to-Door operations.
  • Operate DB Schenker IT systems and Microsoft Office tools efficiently.
  • Handle customer invoicing and ensure timely processing of costs and sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external trucking partners to optimize load capacity and gross profit across European trade lanes.
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback, resolve complaints, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients for seamless integration into our operations.
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory, and company standards while promoting a safer working environment.

Qualifications

About You

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in transport planning
  • A customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
  • Attention to detail and a creative problem-solving approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage customer accounts effectively and maintain up-to-date records.
