Join our dynamic Product team as a Product Owner to shape the future of our mobile app. We want to enhance our customer journey and engagement by providing a mobile app through which customers can interact with the brand. As a Product Owner, you'll be involved in every stage of the product lifecycle, from inception to launching the final product. Your work will directly impact the customer experience and drive business growth.
The digital Product Owner leads a cross-functional team to deliver improvements to the Primark digital customer experience. Responsible for the management and sign-off of team output, the management and prioritisation of the product backlog and benefit reporting and analysis. They will influence and advocate future development based on a deep knowledge of digital, Primark business strategy and relevant industry activity.
In this role you’ll be leading the team building and launching the first Primark customer mobile app.

What You’ll Do as an Digital Product Owner
We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
- Driving roadmaps and execution for your area by leading a team of specialists and working closely with shared services (architecture, engineering etc.) to help ensure quality of delivery, measure performance and communicate progress to stakeholders, whilst conveying the value that their product area creates, and what problems it is solving for our customers.
- Act as a liaison point between business stakeholders to define the roadmap for their product, considering commercial benefits, customer perspective, technical feasibility, benchmark experiences and innovative thinking. Responsible for signing off team’s output and maximising value whilst ensuring alignment with the relevant business strategies, providing clear visibility of the backlog to wider digital team.
- Work with UX/UI experts to ensure that a brand-consistent, usable and visually engaging experience is presented to customers, ensuring integration with the Primark brand.
- Support our transformation by proactively educating colleagues within technology and wider Primark about agile methodologies and product management.
We want every person in our organisation to feel like they’re making a key contribution. Here are some of the experiences and skills you’ll need for the role:
- Over 5 years’ experience in Product Owner or business relationship management in a digital environment
- Industry or functional expertise validated through experience working in ecommerce
- An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experience
- Preferably a certification in Agile Product Ownership, Scaled Agile or equivalent
- Ability to take people along with you, empowering new ways of working and successfully executing on those opportunities
- Possess proven experience in establishing and growing digital software products
