Dietitian Staff Grade

The Dietetic Department in Tipperary University Hospital provides clinical services across acute and outpatient services. Dietitians work with the following Tipp UH services: Medical services including Endorcrinology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, and Care of the older adult (Stroke/Dementia/Parkinson), Respiratory, Oncology, and Intensive Care & Surgery.

The post holder will be based in the dietetic department, whilst working with the MDT in Tipperary University Hospital. This includes medical, nursing, & other HSCP & hospital colleagues.

The dietetic team in Tipp UH consists of 12 dietetic posts, including Manager, Senior & Staff Grade Dietitians. It is a busy, progressive department, which encourages innovation and efficiency. We are committed to supporting and mentoring staff in continued professional & personal development. The department has excellent IT facilities; all dietitians use a tablet for our electronic records, avoiding a paper based system for dietetic notes. We have timely access to patient’s medical records & good administration support for OPD clinics and day to day functioning of the department.
