DIETETIC ASSISTANT
(Temporary, Full-Time – 6 months)

The role of the Dietetic Assistant is to contribute to the smooth running of the Nutrition & Dietetics department by supporting administrative and clinical activities under the direction of the dietitian
The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess:
Requirements:
· B. Sc. in Nutrition or Dietetics
· Good numeracy and literacy skills
· An interest in human nutrition and its role in medical conditions and rehabilitation
· An ability to explain complex ideas simply
· A mature and flexible approach to supporting both clinical and administrative areas as needed
· Excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Interest in working with people and their families or carers
· A caring and understanding approach
· Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Desirable:
· Previous experience in a healthcare setting
· Previous experience working as part of a team
Salary: The salary for the position is based on the Dietetic/Physiotherapy Assistant pay scale, and is commensurate with experience.
