As a Data Engineering Test Analyst, your role is to drive and deliver on the Data engineering Testing needs of the organisation. You will collaborate with colleagues and business owners to understand needs and deliver excellent quality assurance through testing strategies for Data Engineering activities. You will be a key Data delivery partner and bring a superior and innovative approach to solution delivery. 

Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes test plans and test cases for Data Engineering related activities.
• Design test cases and test script, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes.
• Participates in requirement, design and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions.
• Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing.

Requirements: 

Essential 

• 5+ years of relevant data engineering Testing experience with know-how in enterprise class data engineering platforms and relevant Testing tools e.g. SQL, Jira, Confluence, GitLab etc
• Relevant 3rd Level qualification (Degree, Masters) in a related field (Computer Science, Technology)
• Excellent knowledge of data engineering and Testing concepts and technologies 
• Experience with data warehousing, data pipelines, ETL processes and their testing; deep understanding of the flow of data in a data warehouse 

This is a permanent position based in PTSB's Cork office.
