About the team and the role:

Buyer Experience Teammate 

We are passionate about creating experiences our customers love! Our Buyer Experience team is part of the Global Customer Experience Department. In this role you will be supporting customers who buy & sell on the eBay platform.

* Important Information *

  • This is an inbound phone based role that will include evening and weekend work.

  • This is a full time role.

  • For this role you need to be located in the Republic of Ireland.

  • You will need to have a fibre connection for the internet in order to work remotely.

The start date for this position is May 19th 2025.We provide virtual training and require full attendance for the training period.Our training is broken in to two sections.Training dates:May 19th to July 4thAugust 5th to August 18th.Please note that no holidays / time off can be taken during this time to provide optimum training & upskilling.

What you will accomplish:

  • Support eBay buyers and sellers with seamless buying experiences and issue resolution.

  • Mediate between buyers and sellers using step-based resolutions, not always conclusive in one call.

  • Assist members with buying, selling, and account-related inquiries.

  • Review and handle appeals related to eBay case decisions and feedback.

  • Make impactful decisions that may affect customers or eBay financially, while building trust.

  • Ensure eBay remains a safe and compliant platform, while continuously learning and adhering to schedules and goals.

What you will bring:

  • You have at least 2 years customer service experience in either a virtual or face to face environment

  • In order to be considered for this role, candidates will need to be located in Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford or Wicklow

  • Ability to manage conflict, guide resolutions, and deliver difficult messages confidently.

  • Strong business perspective, excellent communication, and high emotional intelligence.

  • Self-aware, adaptable to different customers and cultures, with voice tone control.

  • Resilient, able to handle stress, and remain productive under pressure.

  • Motivated, disciplined, and capable of achieving targets, especially when working from home.

  • Strong PC skills, able to troubleshoot devices, and adapt to diverse customer profiles.
