Credit Coordinator

Job Purpose Summary

The aims of the Credit Management Services department are:

  • The provision of professional Risk Management to maximise sales whilst protecting the business from unnecessary commercial risks
  • The timely collection of balances owing to the company to maximise profits and fund future sales
  • Reviewing customer deductions to remove negative cash flow implication and risk to the business
  • The primary focus of this role will be to assist in reducing overdue debtor balances on an ongoing basis in line with monthly targets and to participate in the timely collection of balances owing to the company 
Role Responsibilities
  • Monitor and work unassigned emails received via Credit Helpdesk from internal and external customers with agreed guidelines and SLA’s
  • Manage a workload of low value/risk accounts as main point of contact. Completing credit reviews, chasing payment, etc
  • Drive query resolution through close liaison with all other internal departments
  • Review of/upload/download of information/files from customer/bank portals and entering or saving of information on to agreed systems or folders as per guidelines and SLA’s
  • Entering and saving specified text to CMS systems and files as per agreed guidelines and SLA’s
  • Build excellent relationships with customers and account managers
  • Facilitating credit card payments from customers who have no agreed credit limits
  • Ad hoc duties or tasks as required
  • Posting and allocating payments 
  • Escalate queries when and where required 
Additional ResponsibilitiesSkills & Personal Attributes
  • Basic to Intermediate excel skills & good working knowledge of Outlook
  • Numerate with an excellent ability to analyse large data sets
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills is vital
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to work as part of a hard working team to meet deadlines and targets
