Credit Controller

Role Overview:

WaterWipes is an exciting entrepreneurial company, enjoying huge growth. We are actively recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join the team. The role will be based in our Head Office in Drogheda, Co. Louth

This is a key role in an exciting and rapidly growing FMCG company, the Credit Controller will work to support the Credit Manager and overall Finance function in recording and retrieving financial details of the company, including maintaining financial records, processing payments, cash handling, timely payment collection and other finance administration tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for multi-currency debtor’s ledgers
  • Reviewing monthly aged debt report 30, 60, 90 days for outstanding debts
  • Chasing overdue payments that are outside agreed terms of credit
  • Monitoring customer credit limits and maintaining company credit policy
  • Cash allocation and monthly reconciliations
  • To ensure cash collection is maximised and meets KPI targets
  • To escalate collection matters as soon as possible to management
  • Prepare files for internal & external audits
  • Work closely with the Finance Team and all other stakeholders throughout the business
  • Experience managing invoice discounting facility including monthly bank reconciliation

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Credit Control role.
  • Proven credit control experience essential, within the FMCG sector is a distinct advantage
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to deal with all customer contact through a variety of channels e.g. phone, e-mail and customer portals
  • Proven experience working with high profile EMEA, APAC, UK&IRL & USA Distributors and Online customers would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

  • Good Analytical skills
  • Positive and professional, can-do attitude, displaying a high level of enthusiasm, commitment & motivation
