Ryanair’s Legal & Regulatory Affairs Department deals with a wide range of legal and regulatory issues, both at the national level across Ryanair’s network and at European level. The Department is also responsible for Company Secretarial and Public Affairs duties.

The Legal & Regulatory Affairs Department is now offering a full-time position of six months’ duration to a lawyer qualified in an EU jurisdiction and specialised in EU competition law and / or in possession of an LL.M in EU competition law.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team and be expected to:

  • Manage court and administrative proceedings, at both EU and national levels;
  • Manage a range of regulatory issues;
  • Review legal briefs, correspondence and position papers;
  • Interact with and manage outside counsel.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in competition law (in-house or in a law firm);
  • Understanding of economics and business;
  • Experience working with or for large international companies
  • Excellent research, reasoning and drafting skills;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • The ability to learn quickly and show initiative;
  • Fluency in English.

Requirements

The following, while not essential, will be an advantage:

  • An LL.M or a PhD in EU competition law;
  • Knowledge of one of the major European languages in addition to English;
  • Understanding of the aviation industry.

The successful candidate can be based in Ryanair’s Dublin or Madrid Office.
