CNC Machine Operator

We currently have a vacancy for a CNC lathe or milling machine operator. The Machine Operator is responsible for programming, set up and operating machine tools to manufacture parts to the precision and quality required. The operator will be required to work on their own initiative to deliver parts within specific time frames. We work on 1 off and small quantity parts, therefore the ability to program the machine and changeover of the tooling is critical.

KEY DUTIES

• To manufacture components in accordance with relevant drawings and procedures.
• Run Lathe or Milling Centres as part of the production team to meet production targets.
• Determine and acquire the necessary tools, jigs, fixtures and other equipment required to set-up and perform the specified operation and return this equipment to the correct location on completion of the work order.
• Modify/Create programs for the CNC machines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly machine and work area.
• To perform all duties in conformance with Health and Safety requirements.
• Other duties as specified by the Supervisor / Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Suitable Machine Operating (turning/milling) course.
• Training on conversational machine controls and tooling.
• 2+ years operating a CNC lathe and/or milling machine.
• Be competent in the operation of CNC machines.

SALARY: €34,000 -€38,000 per annum

HOURS: 39 hours per week
