There are currently 3 permanent vacancies available in Children’s Disability Network Teams, CHO5:

· 1 permanent whole-time vacancy available in CDNT Network 6 – Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Base in Waterford City (Johnstown)

· 1 permanent part time (0.8 WTE) vacancy available in CDNT Network 8 – NewRoss, Co. Wexford

· 1 permanent part time (0.5 WTE) vacancy available in CDNT Network 9 – Gorey, Co. Wexford.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Clinical Nurse Manager 2, CDNT from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

The post of CNM 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.

The post of CNM 2 in the area of Children’s Disability Nursing is to support children/ young people from the age of 0-18 years and their families, presenting with complex developmental delays and/or complex disabilities requiring nursing intervention. The CNM2 will work as part of an interdisciplinary team within the CDNT to deliver high quality clinical nursing services. The services are based upon a Family Centred Practice Model in line with PDS.

Details of Service

CDNT Children’s Disability Services provides services for children/young people aged 0-18 years presenting with complex developmental delays or complex disability living in the SECH Area. The CDNT are interdisciplinary teams providing a family centred practice model of services in line with Progressing Children’s Services (PDS)
