A vacancy exists for full-time specific purpose contract Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) role in Cara. A panel may be formed
The Cara Unit aims to provide a peaceful, relaxing, comfortable and dignified environment, to support end of life care. People with dementia and life limited conditions requiring palliative care are supported to engage in all aspects of their own health and personal care whilst supporting each person and their family members to meet his/ her physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs, and respects his/her dignity and autonomy.
Applications are invited for this position from suitably qualified candidates. This role requires a strong ability to lead a team and to problem solve and work on own initiative.
Essential Criteria:
- Have a RNID qualification and be presently registered and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Other Nursing disciplines with a minimum of 5 years experience in the area of intellectual disability may apply. Have experience in the area of intellectual disability, dementia, palliative and end of life care
- Recognised accredited management qualification.
- Post graduate education in Dementia/Palliative Care a distinct advantage
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care with responsibility for managing budgets and resources.
- Have experience in the area of staff support, taking the lead in teams, resource management and administration duties.
- Be knowledgeable of Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HIQA Regulations (2013).
- A detailed working knowledge of Safeguarding Policy.
- Possess a strong commitment to the provision of a quality individualised person centred service.
- Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the key working model.
- Possess experience in key-working and have knowledge of the quality system.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Scale
