- Longford
- Offaly
- Dublin South-West
- Dublin West Dublin
- Dublin South City
- Kildare
- West Wicklow
- Westmeath
More than one million people live in this region.
HSE Dublin and Midlands includes all hospital and community healthcare services in the region. In 2024, each health region is transitioning from the previous hospital group and community healthcare organisation system. The posts are within the finance department of the previous structure of CHO7 or Community Healthcare Dublin South, Kildare and west Dublin.
HSE Dublin and Midlands region includes:
- Dublin midlands hospital group
- One hospital in the Ireland East Hospital Group, Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar
- Community Healthcare Dublin South, Kildare and west Dublin
- Midlands Louth-Meath Community Health Organisation

The Sláintecare Report (2017) sets out a 10-year high-level policy roadmap to deliver whole-system reforms and a universal single-tier health and social care system. Its reforms centre on health promotion and disease prevention, eligibility, expansion of primary and community services and the funding of health and social care in Ireland into the future.
