Purpose of the Post:

• To provide and further develop a quality, client-centred Speech & Language Therapy Service for young people attending Child & Adolescent mental health services in Dublin South, Kildare & West Wicklow Community Healthcare (CHO7).
• To participate in differential diagnostic and joint formulation with CAMHS MDT colleagues to ensure timely and accurate intervention.
• To engage collaboratively in care planning process with all service users.
• To advocate, raise awareness and promote understanding in the CAMHS network of the impact of communication impairment on children and young people accessing mental health services.
• To work in conjunction with other team members in planning co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation.
• To support SLT service planning, development, evaluation and quality initiatives.
