Childcare Practitioner

At Home From Home Childcare in Ratoath, County Meath are currently recruiting for the Full-Time position of Childcare Practitioner.

We are looking for a dedicated, energetic & motivated person who is committed to providing an excellent standard of care and education to the children in our service. A Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare qualification (all 6 modules) or equivalent is essential for this role.

Role Description:

• Day to day childcare tasks will be outlined in more detail upon application.

• To ensure a safe, secure, and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children.

• Actively engage the children in developmentally appropriate learning activities to facilitate the development of each child.

• Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe & well-equipped learning environment.

• Observe and record children’s progress.

• To communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff alike.

• Meet established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• As specified above Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare qualification (All 6 modules) or equivalent is essential.

• Experience in childcare is desirable, but not necessary.

• First Aid, Manual Handling, Tusla Children First, an advantage.

• Excellent organisational & communication skills

• Ability to work well within a team

• Sincere and genuine love of children

• Candidates must provide 2 x written references and copy of qualification certificates at time of interview.

• Candidate details will be submitted for Garda Vetting.

• International Vetting required if candidate has lived outside of the jurisdiction for a period of 3 months or more.
