The Bridge Project is a community-based alternative to custody for adult males with a history of offending. It serves the Greater Dublin Metropolitan Area and is based in Dublin city centre. Bridge is a limited company with charitable status and is overseen by a voluntary Board comprising of inter-agency representatives including the Probation Service and City of Dublin ETB, both are core funders for the project. Participants can be referred directly from the Courts, the prison service or Probation Officers.
Bridge provides a range of services to participants that are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team including Probation Officers, education staff, key workers, Community Employment personnel as well as volunteers. The Bridge CE scheme compliments and supports the Bridge Project. City of Dublin ETB work in collaboration with the CE scheme.
City of Dublin ETB and project staff work with participants on an individual basis to provide the advice, information and support necessary to enable participants access training, education or employment. All participants have access to one-toone literacy tuition from the time they are accepted onto our programme. In addition, an education-based CE scheme enables participants to work on QQI accredited modules in Communications, Maths, Food and Nutrition, Computers and other courses.
City of Dublin Education and Training Board (City of Dublin ETB) was established on 1st July 2013 under the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013. City of Dublin ETB has 3,000 employees and an annual budget of €580m. It is the state education and training authority for Dublin city and serves the area covered by Dublin City Council. This provision is delivered to over 48,000 learners (20,000 full-time and 28,000 part-time) and is supported by a range of services including a psychological service, a curriculum development unit, a buildings maintenance unit and Head Office staff in Ballsbridge. It also has statutory responsibility for supporting the provision, coordination, administration and assessment of youth work services in Dublin city and is the lead partner for Music Generation Dublin City. City of Dublin ETB is also responsible for the national awarding authority for student grants in Ireland, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI).

Location of Position: The position will be based in the Bridge Project, Unit 3, 131-133 Francis Street, The Liberties, Dublin 8, D08 EW44.
Detail of Position: To assist in ensuring the effective and efficient administration and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the project.
Salary: €495.30 - €570.31 per week (based on the number of participants).
Annual Leave: 20 days per annum.
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week
Essential Requirements:
Knowledge of Post: • Have a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the role of the CE Assistant Supervisor in terms of the administration and day to day running of a CE scheme.
Work Experience: • Previous experience in office administration, computerised accounts and payroll is essential. • Skills in MS Office or computerised accounts packages. • Skills relevant to people management through previous work experience.
Interpersonal Skills • Good communication skills. • Competent writing and reporting skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to prioritise tasks.
