Grade VII BI and Data Analytics Manager, SSWHG

The post holder will report to the eHealth Director/ Assistant National Director of the HSE South West or other nominated Manager designated by the eHealth Director/ Assistant National Director, to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of department goals.

Direct reports may include a number of staff at Grade III to Grade VI level including technical specialists.

The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics function for the region, encompassing:

· Developing and implementing BI strategies to support organisational goals and objectives, EU and National Regulation.

· Leading a team of analysts and data specialists to ensure the timely delivery of accurate and insightful reports and analysis.

· Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and teams to deliver process efficiencies, visualisation and data driven insights to deliver value for patients and healthcare services.

· Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains through data-driven insights.

· Lead implementation of business intelligence tools and platforms in line with the Digital for Health Strategy.

· Establishing and maintaining robust data governance and quality assurance and control practices to uphold the integrity and reliability of organisational data.

· Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs, document requirements, delivery plans for timely and solutions and insights.

· Contributing to the development and execution of data training programs to enhance data literacy across the organisation.

· Lead the implementation, management, monitoring and control of regulatory compliance with legislation associated with the role, e.g. GDPR 2016 NIS2 2022, AI Act 2024.

· Lead the development and execution of data excellence programmes to inform decision making.
