About the role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). In this entry-level, full-time, remote position, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of our sales funnel by creating awareness, generating leads, and qualifying them. This position is important because your outreach will help Keenious become the AI tool of choice in the academic library market. While our customers love our tool, many potential customers are unaware of Keenious—making emails from a BDR introducing the tool indispensable. Being a BDR offers hands-on sales experience, particularly in reaching out to universities and booking demo meetings by email. The position has a flexible start date.

In this job you will:

  • Qualify leads by identifying people and universities, university colleges, and research institutions that could benefit from Keenious.

  • Write and send personalized emails daily to book sales meetings.

  • Maintain sales records in HubSpot (our Customer Relationship Management system).

  • Develop skills such as quickly being able to look up key people and decision-makers and write great emails that people appreciate receiving and that results in revenue.

  • Work independently because it’s a fully remote position, but you’ll also get support from a tight-knit sales team.

  • Have the option to travel abroad to a few conferences and universities for sales purposes—as well as joining Keenious team gatherings.

We're looking for someone:

  • With experience of any kind from sales, business, or retail

  • Who values learning and research and has attended a higher education institution, due to the nature of our academic product and market

  • Proficient at searching for information online and comfortable sending emails to people they‘ve never interacted with.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Excited about working at a startup

Requirement:

  • Candidates need to be a current resident of the Republic of Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
