Business Development Manager

Job Description

This role will be focused on the business development activities of the governance and international pension businesses of the Group. The successful candidate will build a network of clients (employers of various sizes) and referral partners (primarily solicitors, accountants and tax consultants). This will typically involve exploiting new business opportunities by building deep relationships with target companies across Ireland. The delivery of agreed medium to long term new business income and service targets, as well as attaining an appropriate business mix, in a compliant and professional manner.

The ITC Group have made the decision to work remotely on a permanent basis. Therefore, this role is exclusively a remote working opportunity.

Salary

This role offers a base salary range of €55,000 - €65,000, depending on experience, plus additional earning potential based on sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in the development of our governance and international pension propositions in conjunction with the Head of Trustee Services. This will include the development of a sales process that will ultimately result in the establishment and strengthening of key relationships.

This role will entail achieving a minimum agreed level of new business activity which will be clearly outlined in advance of commencement. The successful candidate will mainly be focused on our governance and international pension propositions but will also have the opportunity to sell the complete suite of ITC Group products where appropriate.

The successful individual will be able to demonstrate their ability to build relationships at all levels up to C-suite executives. They will be able to articulate our propositions to prospective clients and referral agents in a way that differentiates us in the marketplace. The successful candidate’s ability to understand the dynamics of relationship management will be key.

The Business Development Manager will typically work as part of a service team, working closely with the Administration, Consultancy, Marketing teams and the Head of Trustee Services on a daily basis.

Required Skills & Behaviours

  • Experience selling to C-suite executives in one or more industries
  • Ability to generate profitable, lasting relationships
  • Introduce a pre-agreed quantum of new business
  • Maintain high persistency levels across new and existing trusts
  • Provide a high level of technical knowledge and support to referrers such as solicitors, accountants and tax specialists
  • Engage in formal presentations to educate on the benefits and features of our propositions
  • Engage in marketing initiatives, e.g., seminars, mail shots, articles and webinars
  • Work closely with the administration teams to manage and ensure the highest level of service is delivered to clients at all times. Ensure use of internal systems and follow all policies and procedures
  • Ensure that our business propositions and brand integrity are maintained at all times
  • Provide pre-agreed management information when required
  • Partake in the Performance & Development structure of the Group
  • Undertake sufficient Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours to maintain/attain relevant qualifications as required
  • Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of our compliance requirements at all times
  • Learn and adhere to the Service Standards of the Group, especially the core processes, philosophy and beliefs

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Three years’ experience in relationship management with exposure to C-Level executives is required
  • Holding or willingness to acquire a relevant qualification e.g. QPT, STEP, AITI, AIIPM as required
  • A relevant business, financial services or accountancy qualification is also beneficial, but not required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
