About the role
ORS is a fast-growing firm, and we are expanding our business development team to support growth. The Business Development Executive is a varied role.
The primary role is to co-ordinate ORS’s strategy to grow the company’s presence in the target markets. This would include elements of new business development, account management, service development, bid/opportunity management, and project management. Key elements of this are supporting management of a companywide business development process and systems, and in particular the proposed CRM system.
This is an opportunity to join a growing Business Development team at an exciting and growing time in its development. It offers the opportunity to obtain experience in shaping the Business Development function in ORS, this function is a key driver of the company’s growth plans over the next number of years. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Identification and conversion of new sales opportunities with potential new and existing customers for the strategic business areas in line with the business development plan.
- Build and develop strong working relationships with allocated clients.
- Act as an ambassador for the company, attend and present and external customer meeting and networking events.
- Oversee the on-going operation of the CRM system. This would include: checks on data quality and completeness, and reporting.
- Manage BD performance reporting and metrics.

You will be proactive and commercially in supporting employee engagement, talent planning, employee relations, compensation review, performance management, and development strategies to ensure ORS can attract, develop and retain the breadth of talent necessary to drive our success. This role will suit someone with a true passion for people and improving processes along the way.
Skills and experience
- Highly organised, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in all bids.
- People-centric and conscientious-for candidates as well as internal business leads.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Collaborative team player; able to work with everyone, from your teammates to the MD.
- Flexible in taking on projects in a dynamic environment.
- Construction technical and sector knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Highly proficient Microsoft Office.
- Promoting a positive work environment and culture in line with the ORS values.
- 1-3 years' experience in a Business Development and/or Account Manager coordinating role.
