Coolock Children’s Disability Network Team
Full Time Permanent Post
This is an exciting opportunity for a basic grade Physiotherapist to support children presenting with complex needs arising from a disability and their families.
The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) who will provide a quality evidence-based service in line with family centred practice and Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles.
Childrens Disability Network Teams are dynamic vibrant teams who thrive on providing a family centre approach and welcomes the contribution that the Physiotherapist brings to an interdisciplinary team. St Michael’s House have four CDNTs, each with at least one Physiotherapist attached. This offers the opportunity for peer support and the advancement of innovation within the Physiotherapy discipline in the organisation.
The successful candidate must have the following:
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Physiotherapy accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
- Fully registered with CORU.
- Proven post qualification or clinical placement experience working with children with complex needs arising from a disability.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Excellent ability to work as part of a team.
- Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services.
Desirable Criteria
- Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
- Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team framework.
- Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completed.
- Full clean driving licence and use of a car.

A panel will be created for future employment opportunities, across the 4 St Michael’s House Children’s Disability Network Teams.
There may be opportunity for those who wish to work part time hours to share a full time post if interested parties are successful and/or temporary/fixed term contract posts.
