Basic Grade Pharmaceutical Technician

The purpose of the role

The purpose of this post is to provide a pharmaceutical technician service for the pharmacy department and to all wards and clinical areas within CHI.

Essential Criteria:

Please note that you have to have an eligibility to work in Ireland full-time

at the time of applying for the post

  • Pharmaceutical Technicians Diploma or equivalent Pharmacy Technician Qualification awarded by an accredited body as follows:
  • Pharmaceutical Technicians Diploma awarded by the University of Dublin ,Trinity College

or

  • Pharmacy Technician qualification at QQI level 6 awarded by Dublin Institute of Technology, Athlone Institute of Technology or Carlow Institute of Technology (ii)
  • or

Pharmacy Services Certificate NVQ level 3 offered by Irish Pharmacy union (iii)

or

  • Be currently employed as a pharmacy technician in the publicly funded Irish health system

or

  • A relevant qualification at least equivalent to (ii) or (iii) above
