The Housing Agency is seeking to fill an Assistant Staff Officer – Grade 4 vacancy on a permanent basis in its IT Team. This post is based in our offices in Dublin 2. The Housing Agency operate a Blended Working Policy.

Main Duties • Promote the effective use of ICT to support the business of the organisation. • Provide frontline IT support and training to members of the organisation - explaining complex technical information to a non-technical audience. • Support end users to maximise their use of the systems in place in the organisation. • Communicate effectively and confidently with end users and senior management • Assisting in managing the helpdesk tickets - track and update relevant service requests. • Ensuring that ICT issues are resolved or escalated to the proper resources to resolve in a timely manner with minimum disruption to the operational business areas. • Assisting in the development and roll out of ICT policies as required; ensuring that all IT security policies and procedures are adhered to. • Assisting to ensure that all ICT security policies and procedures are followed, maintained, and implemented correctly on servers and systems. • Monitoring of backup & replication. • Install and upgrade of desktops, laptops, network printers, and IoT devices. • Asset tagging. • Assisting in ensuring that the organisation operates the best security practices such as 2FA, digital signing, device encryption, mobile device management, and systems and networking monitoring. Firewall VPN management

Personal/Educational Requirements • A minimum of two year’s relevant experience in an IT role and/or have a relevant IT qualification

Desirable • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Office365/Microsoft365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure, OneNote) • Software installation, configuration, and lifecycle update management experience.

Competencies • Communication Skills - Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences • Teamwork – Fosters a collaborative team-working environment, working as part of a team to ensure delivery of plans and schedules, sharing information and knowledge as appropriate • Organisational Skills – Able to plan, prioritise, organise and schedule work/tasks to ensure that they are completed on time and to specification • Problem Solving – Able to assess information regarding a problem, analyse the information and propose a solution • Specialist Knowledge - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office365 / Microsoft365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote Software installation, configuration, and lifecycle update management experience. Salary Scale – Assistant Staff Officer – Grade IV LA Scales €33,760 - €35,866 - €38,855 - €40,818 - €42,535 - €44,196 - €46,438 - €48,060 - €49,706 LSI 1 - €51,221 LSI 2 - €52,773

New entrants will be appointed on the first point of the scale in line with government policy. Different terms and conditions may apply if immediately before appointment you are a currently serving civil/public servant.
