Home Trends is a family-owned business specializing in furniture and mattresses, selling nationwide both online and in-store. We are passionate about providing our customers with high-quality products and an exceptional shopping experience.

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the Store Manager in driving sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers answering any queries they may have .
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and drive business performance.
  • Maintain inventory control and stock levels, ensuring product availability and organization.
  • Ensure that the store meets visual merchandising standards to create an inviting shopping environment.
  • Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and care, ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events and marketing strategies to drive store traffic and increase sales.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance to identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Implement store policies and procedures to maintain consistent operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain product quality and availability.
  • Liaise with the Web Team updating team with new products or prices
  • Manage cash handling and financial transactions accurately.
  • Assist in marketing efforts, including managing social media to enhance brand awareness.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree preferred but not essential as level of work experience will be taken into account.
  • Proven experience in retail, with a strong emphasis on furniture or home goods sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
  • Proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Office to include word and excel, Google Drive.
  • Experience in marketing and social media
