Assistant Finance Officer, Grade V

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to support the Financial accounts department in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts through the input of journals, preparation of accruals and reconciliations. Bank Reconciliations of the hospital’s three bank accounts. Preparation of Patient Income Journal for batch input to the General Ledger from the IPIMS system. Maintain the chart of accounts. Prepare costing’s as required. The post holder will also be involved with invoicing to outside agencies. Also liaising with HR departments in relation to WTE and payroll debtors. Dealing with external & external auditors.

Essential Criteria:

· Achieved Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification not less than Level 6 in the QQI framework

· Minimum of 2/3 years relevant finance experience

· Proficient in MS Excel /Word

· Experience working with Financial systems
