Asset Management Technician

We are currently seeking Electricians to work as multi-skilled maintenance technicians. The function of the role is to provide services for the operation and maintenance of Dublin Airports Airfield. Our asset base includes but is not limited to; AGL systems, PLC’s, SCADA systems, HMI Systems, Stand by generators, Substation, and Apron/Stand/campus Lighting in Ireland’s busiest airport. The role is shift based (24/7),12-hour shifts across a 4-week cycle, 7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am. You will be working in a team of multi-skilled technicians in a fully cross skilled environment. The successful candidate will be supported to develop all the requisite skillsets to flourish as a highly skilled technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain Airfield Lighting Systems, ensuring compliance with EASA and ICAO regulations.
  • Complete reactive maintenance and repairs on all asset types as directed by the Team Lead and where competent to do so.
  • Work in a cross functional & multi skilled environment to support, operate and maintain all DAP assets.
  • Promote and enforce personal safety standards in line with Health & Safety and NSAI Standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders using various channels and technology platforms for asset performance.
  • Perform critical repairs, inspections, and health checks of systems, meeting KPI performance and availability targets.
  • Accurately gather and report relevant data for developing airfield asset health reports.
  • Utilise technology-based systems for asset maintenance and performance assurance and aerodrome compliance.
  • Utilise and monitor Scada Systems and plan reactive maintenance accordingly.
  • Provide support to airside operations, Air traffic control, AirNav Engineers on airfield issues.
  • Engage in project support and influence the delivery of new assets.
  • Step up to the team lead role when required.
  • Foster a collaborative working ethos within Asset Management and with relevant airport stakeholders.
  • Respond to airfield priority emergencies and resolve associated faults.
  • Conduct PMs on all relevant airfield assets.
  • Respond to aircraft emergencies and support emergency boundary fence repairs.
  • Escort various contractors as directed by the Team Lead or asset management.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Hold a recognized electrical trade qualification (National Craft Certificate / Standards Based Apprenticeship).
  • Possess a good understanding of electrical systems design, operations, and maintenance.
  • Experience in highly regulated or safety-critical environments is advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT skills for maintenance recording systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in the use of a computerised maintenance system.
  • Ideally experienced in AGL series circuits, PLC control systems, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hold and maintain a full, clean driving license.
