Area Supervisor

VestasEdenderry, County OffalyFull-time

You would be leading our front line operations team, working on some of the most high profile onshore wind farms within the Irish renewables industry based in the Republic of Ireland You will work with multiple departments across Vestas globally and support our colleagues and customers in making Vestas operations teams perform at the highest level. This role is vital in cultivating the environment in Ireland by offering leadership, support and direction to the local Field Supervisors and technicians that form your wider team. You will report directly to the Area Manager of Ireland working closely with the customer service team and internal planning functions to achieve your objectives and KPIs.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Ensuring performance of the operations team in the area while leading a team of Field Supervisors,
  • the Area Supervisor is responsible for the management of the operations
  • Upholding safety standards and processes
  • As an Areas Supervisor you need to ensure your team follow up on the performance of the technicians and deliver to the Vestas business requirements 

Qualifications

  • You will have a proven history from a mechanical, electrical or hydraulics background within a similar industry
  • Ideally you will have previous wind Industry experience within a similar role but this is not required
  • You will have experience managing Health,Safety and Quality, and be able to demonstrate that to a detailed level
  •  You will ideally be degree qualified with previous experience working in an operational management role improving business performance
  • You will have proven solid organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and change focus as per the needs of the business
  • You will have highly developed communications skills, the ability to be clear and consistent with the customer message internally within Vestas

  • You should be thoroughly familiar with Microsoft Office packages

Additional information

Your work location will be in Edenderry, IE. Travel is expected across UK & Ireland and occasional travel across Europe. Applications are handled on an ongoing basis.
