AGRI SERVICE Engineer/Technician

DeLaval in association with Alan Sexton Ltd have vacancies for highly motivated individuals to join our team as Engineers and Technicians. We supply the Dairy Farming Industry with Milking Systems and ancillary consumables. We are looking for Engineers in the areas of, North Cork, Limerick and Clare.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular preventative/corrective maintenance.
• Commissioning of new milking systems on site.
• Troubleshoot customer queries and breakdowns on phone or on site as required.
• Attend trainings, both external and on the job and take a proactive approach to learning the range of DeLaval products.
• Work individually and as part of a team with sales, dairy advisors and tech staff.
• Flexibility, with the ability to plan, prioritise and improvise according to demand.

Experience and knowledge:

• Relevant experience of working within the agricultural industry is preferable but not essential.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or similar trade would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and decision making are crucial requirements.
• Good computer skills are required.
• Interest in animal husbandry and milk production also helpful.
• Possess a full clean driver’s license.
