The role holder will work in the Payments & Cards Tribe - leading our Financial Crime Squad. We are looking for someone who
- Is an experienced individual with a deep Financial Crime & Technology background, with specific experience in Real Time Payments Fraud Monitoring and AML Sanctions Screening implementations.
- Has experience in the development management of Fraud detection scenarios and data integrations from both a functional and Technology standpoint.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Directly manage the AIB Payments Fraud implementation with a focus on working with Fraud Monitoring and Financial Crime teams to maximise AIB’s capabilities in this area, with a focus on driving down operational costs for our business while and improving detection accuracy to reduce both AIB and customer losses.
- Drive the agenda for continuous improvement for short and medium term initiatives with relevant stakeholders around AIB.
- Work with the technical support team to ensure high levels of service availability and performance.
- Contribute to the supplier relationship to ensure best possible outcomes considering both service and future change.
- Directly manage the AIB Sanctions Screening implementation with a focus on working with Sanctions Operations, 2nd Line AML Compliance and the Financial Crime team to ensure the highest level of accuracy in this area (minimising AIB’s risk exposure).
- Work to improve false positive ratios and increase automation to reduce operational costs for our business stakeholders without reducing accuracy.
- Drive the agenda for continuous improvement for short and medium term initiatives with relevant stakeholders around AIB.
- Work with the technical support team to ensure high levels of service availability and performance.
- Contribute to the supplier relationship to ensure best possible outcomes considering both service and future change.
- Take a leading role in developing a data-led strategy for how AIB can minimise financial crime risks through changes to people, processes, and technology.
- Identify opportunities for positive change, critically evaluate and prioritise them, and work with stakeholders across the bank to obtain buy in and sponsorship. Lead efforts to define problems, identify solutions, and pursue these to completion.
- Lead and manage a team of technical and quality assurance specialists to ensure a smooth integration to production, including consideration for all areas of service management to ensure operational resilience.
- Actively manage supplier relationships to ensure the best possible service levels and outcomes for AIB.
