The Nordic Europe team is actively recruiting consultants with clinical backgrounds to support the implementation and maintenance of Electronic Patient Records across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Position Overview

Nordic Europe is seeking anaccounting manager to support our Nordic global organisation with general ledger accounting, review, and analysis in the preparation of GAAP financial statements. You will also assist and support the accounting team with month end close, intercompany accounting, tax filings, and year end audit.


Duties and Responsibilities

Month-End Close
Participate in the monthly financial close, focusing on intercompany transactions, accruals, routine and non-routine journal entries, allocations, and consolidating/eliminating entries.
Coordinate with global financial operations support teams on accounting matters.
Perform monthly reconciliation and review of selected balance sheet accounts.

Intercompany Accounting
Generate intercompany invoices and record received intercompany invoices on a monthly basis. Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly.

Audit
Assist in preparing for annual financial statement audits and periodic bank audits.
Ensure appropriate support for all financial information reflected in the general ledger.

Tax
Collaborate with a third-party tax firm to provide information for the preparation of periodic tax returns.

VAT Reporting
Prepare and reconcile monthly VAT reports.
Assist in the completion and filing of VAT returns for relevant countries.

Other Duties
Recommend and assist in implementing department controls.
Occasionally prepare technical accounting memorandums.
Review and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, focusing on month-to-month trends.
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through reconciliation, validation, and data analysis.
Perform other related duties as requested.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university preferred, with 8+ years of accounting experience.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance will be considered with relevant accounting experience.
  • ACA certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and finance concepts.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Additional Details

  • Travel up to 5% of the time.
