Accountant - Practice

Clear Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Accountant in Balbriggan, North Dublin. This is a new role due to ongoing growth.

The Role

You will have your own client portfolio, review work within the team. You will have excellent career progression potential and have the opportunity to be a part of the firms growth over the next few years. The role is hybrid or office-based, depending on the needs of the applicant. Ideally you will live within a reasonable distance from Balbriggan.

The Person

You will hold a membership of an accountancy body such as ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA/ ACA. You will have demonstrated experience in managing client and team relationships. And have strong experience across sole trader and limited company compliance, management reporting, bookkeeping, vat, payroll (an advantage), income tax and corporation tax.

Responsibilities

● Help with client on-boarding.

● Support team members, delegate and review work. You will have the support of the director in this regard

● Keep procedures templates up to date

● The first point of contact for your clients.

● Prepare and file corporation tax returns, income tax returns

● Conduct co-sec work, prepare and file B1, B10’s, Share transfers etc.

● Conduct RBO filings

● Budgeting / forecasting for clients

● Prepare year-end accounts/ financial statements for sole traders and limited companies

● Seek opportunities to advise clients in areas such as tax planning, business advice, funding applications, or carrying out tax and advisory projects. You will have the full support/ guidance of the director and partners in carrying this out. You will gain invaluable experience in this regard

● Assist with marketing by writing articles/ creating content on areas of interest such as tax, accounting, advice for business owners

● Use loom to make how to videos for team members or clients

● Share knowledge with your team members

Experience

● 5+ years accounting practice experience in Ireland

● Xero cloud experience (an advantage)

● Technically strong across accounting, income tax, corporation tax, vat, and payroll (an advantage),

Clear Group tech stack

● Xero cloud accounts

● Hub Doc and Auto Entry

● Xero expenses

● Sage final accounts

● Go proposal pricing

● Colsoft payroll

● Sage payroll professional

● Loom

● Karbon practice management

The person
