During the 3-year programme you will gain invaluable experience in insurance at one of Ireland’s leading insurers, allowing you to develop your technical expertise as well as professional capabilities. When you join Aviva, you will receive a bespoke induction and will be assigned a business mentor and in house experienced supervisor who will support you throughout the programme. In addition to gaining on the job insurance experience, you will complete the insurance industry professional qualifications APA and CIP as well as a Level 8 Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Insurance Practice (Apprenticeship). If you can commit to a 3-year programme, study at a BA (Hons) level and work at the same time and want to develop a career that has a career path for success then we want to hear from you! This includes the type of cover being provided, the likelihood of something bad happening, the value of what’s being insured, and the customer’s history of making claims in the past. Our underwriters take all this, and more, into account. They assess whether it’s something we’d be comfortable to insure and, if so, how much we would charge our customer for it.
