Basic Cardiac Physiologist
Job Purpose
The Mater Hospitals' Cardiac Investigations department is one of the busiest, most dynamic and cutting-edge diagnostic services for Cardiology in Ireland. With a staff complement of over 24 dedicated Cardiac Physiologists and, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of world-class specialists, we support the delivery of almost 50,000 individual diagnostics per year, covering the full spectrum of cardiac conditions. The service has been at the forefront of national specialities, including Primary PCI, Electrophysiology, the National Heart & Lung Transplantation Programme and long-term management of Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD).
We are currently looking to recruit a suitably qualified Basic Cardiac Physiologist as part of our ambitious Cardiology expansion programme. In tandem with significant investment in the latest diagnostic equipment, the ongoing commitment to developing a Cardiology focused Clinical Information System and a new state-of-the-art Coronary Care Unit, the hospital is investing to expand specialist services through the opening of a third Cardiovascular Lab facility.
We pride ourselves on having an established track record of staff development, achieving staff goals through a wide range of support from our Clinical Specialist Cardiac Physiologist facilitators and the delivery of tailored education in collaboration with both industry and academic partners so the suitable candidate will be able to progress their career and develop in sub-specialist areas such as Echocardiography, Cardiac Rhythm Management or Electrophysiology.
